Despite the chatter in the streets, Beard in Baldwin is not my much-anticipated biopic: The story of the fake wife I hid in an occasionally-creepy master-planned community to cover for my real husband. That would be The Beard in Baldwin. Shooting should start soon. Please download, sign, and return the NDA below.

The “Beard” in Beard-in-Baldwin is James Beard. And the “Baldwin” is none of Alec, Billy, Daniel or Stephen. It’s Baldwin Park. In verbal combo, Beard in Baldwin is one of the better culinary events we have in Orlando.

Oh, Orlando Eats will be there. Please, please. Hold your applause.

At the event, Orlando’s best restaurants will be slinging out inventive dishes and pairing them with a “fine wine, crafted cocktail, or local brew.”  Brew! Brew! Brew! Where was I? Oh yeah, you can check out samples of last year’s menu HERE.

General Admission tickets can still be had for $110. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, don’t go to a food festival. Joking. There’s VIP admission ($175) that includes all the plebe stuff plus early access and a private cocktail event inside The Osprey Tavern.

Beard in Baldwin also has a great peripheral mission; raising scholarship funds for aspiring chefs via The James Beard Foundation National Scholars Program. What’s not to like people?!
