Long time Orlando Eats go-to, Swine & Sons, was recently purchased by Alexia and Rhys Gawlak, who will be moving it to a new location at The Local Butcher & Market at 669 N. Orange Avenue.

Times are changing on our favorite goat rodeo of an intersection. The Local Butcher & Market (which is local) also recently purchased The Meat House (which wasn’t local). Local Butcher owner, Kevin O’Donnell, also owns The Porch next door. Throw Da Kine Poke Bowls into the mix (a Local Butcher & Market lodger) and you have a delicious mess of a street corner.

Should diehard Swine & Sons fans worry? Nope. Alexia and Rhys have been running it since day one as chefs and operating partners, so we’re confident the quality Swine has become known for should easily walk itself across the street. The new location will also give Swine & Sons the kitchen space it needs/deserves, which should open the door to new menu possibilities. Never fear, staples like their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich should remain staples and we hear they’ll also be bringing back old favorites like house-made chips and a pastrami sandwich.

Swine & Sons will be closed the week of February 24th with a soft opening in its new location planned for March 2nd.
